With 2018 well and truly upon us, agents and analysts are revving up their predictions for the year.
According to agents in the northeastern suburbs of Adelaide, this area will see a surge in homebuyers and young families, looking to avoid the overcrowded townhouse market.
The suburbs to watch will be Athelstone, Hectorville, Tranmere, Campbelltown, Highbury, Golden Grove, Magill, and Wynn Vale the agents told realestate.com.au.
“Because of the fact we’ve got these big row dwelling and townhouse developments, people are more willing to go further out to Athelstone for the lifestyle factor,” Real Estate Partners principal John Capoccia said.
LJ Hooker agent Jacob Lanning, predicts Campbelltown as seeing significant growth. Citing the location’s great amenities, transport options and abundance of well-kept older homes, as major selling points.
Scott Thomson of Toop & Toop, told realestate.com.au that Highbury, Golden Grove and Wynn Vale are looking good in 2018.
“We have, and are continuing to receive, strong inquiries from buyers looking to purchase homes in all different price ranges – particularly in these suburbs,” he said.
Thomson also mentioned a new 10-house development beginning construction in Golden Grove this year.
The median house prices in these northeastern suburbs hovers around the $500,000 mark. The most affordable of these suburbs is Wynn Vale ($443,000) and the most expensive is Tranmere ($668,000).
