Stroll along the beautiful beaches and walk the jetty. Or visit one of the many community events like the Semaphore Street Fair, the October Long Weekend Music Festival, the Kite Festival in April, and the Semaphore side shows, rides and waterslide complex.

What are community groups or businesses in the area?

Semaphore Pets & Garden have a great variety of garden, homewares & pet products. They are always involved in community events including their Annual Pet Parade at the Semaphore Street Fair.

The Semaphore Main Street Association is run & managed by Ashley Tippins, who helps to orchestrate and coordinate all the fantastic community events held throughout the year.

Where To Eat:

Semaphore main street hosts an array of wonderful cafes and restaurants, catering to everyone’s tastes. From two great Mexican choices: Semaphore Cantina or Zambreros; to Sarah’s Sisters Sustainable cafe, which is a vegan/vegetarian café.

Other amazing cafes include Mr Pilgrim, Whipped Bake Bar, Ambrosia café and gifts, The Corner Store, Sully’s on Semaphore, and also The Semaphore Palais that offers amazing food & entertainment with beautiful beach views.

During Summer you can cool off with an ice cream from Take 2 Ice creamy, or Royal Copenhagen, while walking the beach and jetty.

Be Entertained:

The Odeon Star Semaphore Cinema, is an original feel good family owned business offering discounted movie tickets all day, any day, for $7 – making it Adelaide’s most affordable cinema.

Semaphore Waterside & Minigolf Complex, offers all year round enjoyment, rides, and entertainment throughout the Christmas holidays. And don’t forget the operational steam train along the coast!

Take a picnic basket and head down to the beautiful lawned area along The Esplanade Foreshore or Semaphore Road, overlooking the stunning jetty; or grab some fish and chips and a blanket, and sit on the beach.

Why is Semaphore so attractive for those looking to buy in the area?

Semaphore is an attractive and sought after area due to its affordable seaside living and number of established local amenities. It is less than 30 minutes to the CBD and the area offers a variety of property styles including stunning character homes on large allotments, and modern courtyard style and apartment living for those seeking a low maintenance lifestyle.

Everything is at your fingers tips along the LeFevre Peninsula, creating an easy carefree beachside lifestyle.

Tell us about the property market in Semaphore

Currently the area is seeing a high demand from young families looking to establish themselves in the popular coastal location, as they know about the amazing lifestyle on offer in Semaphore.

We have a strong traditional background of families that have lived and worked in the area for many years, never moving off the Peninsula. These families tend to stay long-term, making the coastal pockets very highly sought after, yet tightly held. The competition for this location is extremely high and when homes do become available we find they are sold quickly.

Many comment that Semaphore is like a country town in a big city, however we are seeing it become very on trend with a high amount of tourists or traffic from visitors and locals especially on weekends! Good luck getting a park!

Why do you love working in Semaphore?

Our office was established by Kate Smith’s family over 30 years ago on the main street of Semaphore.

We love our loyal and friendly clients that we have worked with over and over agin during these many years. We love the new wave of young buyers and families moving to the area and making there mark on Semaphore with there fantastic businesses and ideas. We love that we have the opportunity to be so involved in the local community and that we are asked regularly to contribute to the many wonderful organisations.

We especially love being the major sponsor for the annual Semaphore Street Fair, which sees over 60,000 people visit the main street of Semaphore on the last Sunday of November every year. Such a great day to promote our wonderful strip and community!
