Has your car given you any great real estate information lately?
Probably not, but according to REA Group Chief Inventor Nigel Dalton, we aren’t far away from this becoming a reality.
Dalton told The Australian that he sees digital assistants such as Alexa or Siri, soon dishing out real estate tips to people as they drive.
As you are driving the digital assistants will deliver real-estate information such as prices, availability, and trends based on your location. You will also be able to stop at a particular property for more details relating to the buildings structure, facilities, neighbourhood prices and previous sales in the area.
“There is no question that we’re going to build something like that,” Dalton told The Australian. “The roadmap question is whether you exploit Alexa, Google assistant and Siri, or you go standalone. Actually building an Alexa is a mountain too high,” Dalton says.
Dalton sees voice as a valuable tool in assisting time poor real estate agents.
“We kind of stack ranked who’s got the biggest time problem in their industry, it’s actually real-estate agents, they are the kings and queens of multitasking. We think voice is going to play heavily into that,” he said.
