In late 2017, the prestigious Real Estate Institute of South Australia (REISA) Awards for Excellence were given, Varo Property earning a particularly impressive accolade.

In its first 12 months of business, Varo Property won the medium-sized Agency of the Year award. This achievement driven in particular by Property Director, Loretta Cavallaro, and Sales Director, Michael Cavallaro.

However, as is often the case, behind great triumphs are severe hardships. Michael, who was also a recipient of the REISA Rookie of the Year award, spoke to SA Real Estate News about their adversity and accomplishment.

“This year has been one where we had to face adversity within my family, dealing with the suicide of Loretta’s partner which was a devastating shock and loss to us all. It was with hard work and sheer determination that we kept going, growing and achieved amazing results.”

“When we were named Agency of the year in our first year of business as an independent company, I was completely overwhelmed with pride, humbleness and satisfaction; that all of our hard work was recognised through the most difficult year of my family’s lives.”

In order to succeed in this manner, Varo Property focussed on nailing the fundamentals, while also bringing some interstate expertise.

“Loretta, myself and every person that has been chosen to be apart of the VARO team, all align with our core principles which is always to display honesty and integrity in all that we do. We have a fresh and honest approach with every client that we deal with, and our clients appreciate and value that.”

“We also have a different approach to selling off the plan properties, which Loretta learnt while working in real estate in Melbourne for 4 years, and has proven to be successful.”

Looking to the future, Varo Property will not rest on its laurels.

“We are always looking to improve ourselves and our company. It is with this desire to stay at the top that we have engaged in an external business coach from the beginning, for the company and each staff member.”

“We are also in the process of developing a new system with our off the plan projects, that will set us apart from our competitors and will further enhance the experience in real estate through VARO.”

With 2017 proving an extremely difficult but award-winning year for Varo Property, we wish them a 2018 that is free of hardship but just as filled with as much success.
