Adelaide enjoyed a healthy 75% clearance rate after 33 of 44 auctions held by members of the Society of Auctioneers and Appraisers sold over the weekend.
The second weekend of April was highlighted by two properties selling for prices in the millions.
Auctioneer Tim Thredgold and his wife Megan as the selling agent had the highest sale for the second weekend in a row.
Last weekend, they sold a three bedroom bungalow in Burnside for $1.6 million.
This weekend they fell slightly below that price tag as a three bedroom home in Gilberton on the fringes of the CBD sold for $1.25 million.
Elsewhere, a 4 bedroom home in Lower Mitcham was the second largest sale for the weekend by a narrow margain.
David Smallacombe brought the gavel down at $1.08 million as it just missed out on top spot.
Both auctions for the properties were held on Saturday.
Elsewhere, independent auctioneer AJ Colman had 4 properties up for auction on Saturday – finishing the day with a 100% clearance rate.
Mr Colman’s weekend was highlighted by a 4 bedroom home in Trinity Gardens selling for $960,000 – the joint third largest price for the weekend.
A 3 bedroom home in Nailsworth auctioned off by Jarrod Tagni also sold for $960,000.
The largest sale price on Sunday belonged to Jonathon Moore, auctioning off a 3 bedroom home in Woodville West for $667,000.
Brett Roenfeldt had 8 sales for the weekend, while Mark Fricker had 3.
11 properties were held over and finalized privately at a later date to bring the second weekend of April to a close.
36 auctions are scheduled to take place in the penultimate weekend of April.
