After a few quiet weeks to begin the year, auctions returned to normal to open the month of February.
Of the 26 auctions held on the weekend, 14 sold on the day with an average price of $653,392 and for a clearance rate of 54%.
12 properties were held over with majority of the sales being finalized on Monday.
The highest sale of the weekend belonged to Power Real Estate’s Steve Moffatt and independent auctioneer Brett Roenfeldt – who sold a four bedroom home in Semaphore for $1 million on Saturday the 4th.
Roenfeldt brought the gavel down on three other homes on the Saturday, and another on the Sunday to take his weekend sales total to 5 – while a further 5 were held over.
Rain & Horne’s Julieanne Sheffield and independent auctioneer AJ Colman had the second highest sale for the weekend with a four bedroom home in Fullarton fetching $817,000.
Jonathon Moore also had a big weekend of auctions with 4 sales for a 100% clearance rate.
Nick Baranikow of Harcourts Platinum had one property sell prior to auction and another held over.
26 auctions are currently booked in to take place this coming weekend.
