Adelaide made a strong start to May with 76% clearance rate after the first week of auctions.
Members of the Society of Auctioneers and Appraisers had 25 properties sell out of 33 auctions held, with the remaining 8 properties sold privately at a later date.
Peter Fried had the largest sale of the week, with a unique property built in 1915 in Norwood selling for just under a million at $926,000 on Saturday.
At one point a corner shop, the property maintains its shop frontage which now acts as the properties front door.
With three bedrooms, this is the perfect home for keen renovators.
That was the only sale for Peter Fried throughout the week.
Mark Fricker of LJ Hooker Walkerville | Modbury had a great weekend with six sales on Saturday – the price for one was not disclosed – while two others were held over and finalized privately.
Jonathon Moore also had multiple sales throughout the week, with two on Saturday, two on Wednesday and one on Thursday.
Veteran auctioneer Brett Roenfeldt had 4 sales all on Saturday, while another two properties were held over.
Moore had the joint second largest sale for the week as 4 bedroom home in Woodville sold for $900,000.
Bronte Manuel also had a property sell for $900,000, which was the largest sale on Sunday.
AJ Colman, Michael Roberts, and Phil McMahon all had one sale each during the week.
38 auctions are currently booked in to take place this week.
