“Play by Play” Auctions Report
As the Autumn Hues breeze in to what has been a Hot summer property market Adelaide auctions have been mixed with concern from agents about attendance numbers with the Port & Crows Showdown early afternoon on Saturday.
This didn’t stop prospective purchases from attending the local auction circuit with excellent results from MSAA Sharon Gray “Ironbank Auction marketed by Sam Auld sold the week prior to auction” demonstrating a classic successful auction Campaign.
However 11 Roger Street Goodwood a beautiful character blue stone fronted cottage was a completely different affair. “There had been very good interest with 50 people in attendance. Half of the 8 bidders participated resulting in a wonderful and unexpected result for my vendor” says MSAA Sharon Gray from Cocksauld Real Estate.
Ouwens Casserly Director Nathan Casserly had a 66% clearance rate personally with auctions at Torrens Park & Kings Park with bidding fast paced Kings Park exceeded reserve by 5% selling for $1,115,000. Hawthorn is in the third phase of the auction campaign presenting opportunity to conditional buyers and looks forward to selling it soon.
Harcourts Williams agent Hamish Mill had a “Leg Kicking” auction at Joslyn, lots of bidders and action, always riveting when Hamish is at the helm. Some industry professionals say that after Easter it’s a new market with a new wave of properties being aligned to be presented to the market by auction the second half of April. With auctioneers such as Brett Roenfeldt and myself having bookings of up to 10 properties per week each.
