Franchise Watch: Ray White Hosts; Port Adelaide FC Activation Day, Auction Competition & Annual Awards
It’s been a big fortnight for the Ray White SA Group, holding their second major Port Adelaide Football Club Activation day, auction competition & SA annual awards, all within 14 days.
Here’s our recap of what the big yellow brand has been up to.
Port Adelaide Football Club Activation Day
The Ray White SA Group commenced a key partnership with the PAFC at the beginning of 2017 and have taken big steps to maximise their exposure. The group hosts “The House On The Hill” at selected home games and attends every major event run by the club.
This fortnight saw the group host the pre-game activation prior to the round 21 clash between Port Power & Collingwood, which included a display marquee at the Southern entrance, face painting & handing out Ray White / Port Power co-branded flags to Port fans which appeared across hundreds of social media posts throughout the day.
Auction Comp – Ray White Partners with Rossdale Homes
The Ray White group partnered with quality home builder Rossdale Homes to host their auction awards competition at the Glenunga display village on Portrush Road.
Well attended by agents from around the industry turning up to observe the event, showcasing the skill of Ray White’s top auctioneers & rookies selling “The Beaumont”, Rossdale’s largest show home.
Ray White Annual Awards Show
Themed “Winter Wonderland”, the Ray White Annual awards were well attended with a head count of some 400 agents, staff & principals.
Celebrating 2017, which marks 24 years since the group opened it’s first offices in South Australia, Managing Director Nick George spoke about the journey from 1 office in the Western Suburbs of Adelaide, to 55 offices across the state and 3 in the Northern Territory.
Matt Lindblom reflected on his 18 months with the group as CEO saying; “I could not have wished for a better group of people to work with, this is such an exciting time to be a part of the Ray White family, it’s full of opportunity and I’m thankful for such an outstanding year,”
“Our network continues to see our market share grow and that is due to the excellent performance by everyone in the Ray White network.”
Dan & Sam White, directors of the White Group and 4th generation White family members, presented the awards on the night after spending the day touring the metropolitan offices.
And The Winners Were?
Settled Commission & Number of Sales
The top Salesperson for settled commission & number of settled sales was awarded to Jason Spagnuolo, now a Principal at Ray White Norwood with his business partner Sam Brincat.
The top Principal for commission and number of settled sales was Mike Lao of Ray White Salisbury, with a phenomenal 169 sales.
The top office award went to the Ray White Clare Valley team, run by father & son duo Geoff & Dan Schell.
Chairman’s Club – 120+ Properties Sold
The group also celebrated 3 agents with exceptional sales results, with Jason Spagnuolo (Ray White Norwood), Mike Lao (Ray White Salisbury) & Nick Psarros (Ray White Port Adelaide) all achieving the “Chairman’s Club” award for 120+ properties sold.
A total of 11 Ray White agents achieved the Elite status, selling 65+ properties or $600,000 in settled commission.
Awarded for 30+ sales or over $300,000 in settled commission, 34 agents achieved the premier status.
Excellence in Auction
The award for excellence in auction for an individual (number of auctions held by an individual), and the awards for excellence in auction for an office went to Ray White Port Adelaide Principal Nick Psarros.
Clients Choice Award
Greg Cram of Ray White Berri took out the award for best NPS (Net Promoter Score) and was rated so highly with clients he was placed in the top 11 Ray White agents internationally for customer satisfaction. He was also presented with the Justin Kelly Award, this award generally goes to the person who has done great things for Ray White and been an outstanding member of the group. An embodiment of Justin’s spirit and a reflection of the high standards and inspiration that Justin bought to our group.
Best Carer Start
SA Real Estate News’ very own “The Recruits” star Sam Paton won the award for Best Career Start, almost achieving premier status in his first 12 months of selling!
Auctioneer of the Year
Brett Pilgrim of Ray White Group took out the award for Auctioneer of the Year with his strong performance, having arrived home from New Zealand just a few hours prior to the competition.
Rookie Auctioneer of the Year was awarded to first-timer Nick Brewer of Ray White Brighton, his first ever competitive appearance having joined the industry in 2017.
Business Owners of the Year
Brett & Kirsty Pilgrim of Ray White Adelaide Group were awarded business owners of the year, showing great leadership with their dynamic and successful team.
Property Manager of the Year
Property manager of the year went to Kylie Depledge of Ray White Copper Coast, who’s office also took out the award for property management team of the year.
Rookie property manager of the year went to Lindsey Sawtell of Ray White Salisbury.
A reasonably unique award, the digital footprint award is given to offices with the most effective and largest brand presence online.
The office award was given to Ray White Salisbury for their very active and highly engaging online presence.
Sam Paton took home the award for Digital Footprint – Individual.
Database of the Year
Ray White Mount Barker took out the “Database of the Year” award for the office with the highest quality database in the group, and the individual award was given to Michael Walkden.

Accelerate Award – Andy Nguyen, Ray White North East
Admin of the Year – Monique Stagg, Ray White Salisbury
PA of the Year – Nathaniel Kennerdale, Ray White Port Adelaide
10 Year Service Awards – 26 Ray White Members
20 Year Service Awards – Graham Roper, Ray White Glynde
