65 Military Road, in West Beach, represents modernity at its most grand, precise and luxurious – featuring intricately designed rooms with high ceilings, interlocking layout and perfect functionality.
Representing the home, real estate agent Angelo Nickolas spoke to SA Real Estate News when it was on the market in July.
Angelo describes the interlocking interior and exterior spaces, with “a large open plan living area that opened directly onto the alfresco and pool areas for warm summer nights and a gold class theatre experience with fully stocked bar, black out curtains and a large balcony with views of the city and Hills for nights.
“We used superior finishes to give a luxury feel and solar panels with a Tesla battery for energy efficiency, which has cut our bills by more than 75%. It was important to us to have separate living areas for parents and kids and to maintain a healthy lifestyle.”
Also among the home’s most attractive elements are the Alby Turner Kitchen, recipient of the 2013 Medium Kitchen of the Year award, as well as a fully-equipped home gym and salt-chlorinated heated pool.
In developing the home, its prime location was a chief consideration. “With entertaining family and friends in mind, we wanted to utilise the location and the unique shape of the block to our advantage. Built into a sand dune, we were able to increase living space and make the most of the spectacular views.”
The home is near Adelaide Oval, the CBD and the airport but outside flight paths. Being “close to Glenelg, Henley Beach and within the Henley high school zone ticked all the boxes. We love watching the sun rise on the balcony with breakfast and having family and friends over for BBQs and a swim or walks down the beach in the evening.”
65 Military Road sold in July, and was represented by Angelo Nickolas and Patrick Small of Harris Real Estate.
